Design Workshop for Optimus Bay in Paradisia

This collaborative workshop invites leadership in cruise, destination marketing, and shorex development as well as cruise line executives to take a deep-dive into the crucial elements that create the ideal destination experience.

Using a hypothetical location we’ve called “Optimus Bay”, participants will embark on a design journey to imagine key experience elements that would make it the ultimate cruise destination. Participants will contribute their own ideas facilitated by the IDEAS and Bermello Ajamil team who will aggregate and refine
the workshop outcomes into a prescriptive Experience Design Brief for Optimus Bay.

The Experience Design Brief will be shared with participants to use as a thought starter for ideas to bring Destination Performance™ to their own, real-world destinations.

Workshop eligibility  

  • To attend this session you need to be registered for Seatrade Cruise Global 2021 with any of the In-Person attendee or exhibitor passes. If you haven't yet registered, please follow this link to our registration page and then complete this workshop specific registration form.
  • You should work in the port/destination/tourism sectors (i.e. tourism /destination development,  economic and commercial affairs at destination level, destination and brand marketeers, port operations/facilities /infrastructure  management)
  • You must register by End of Day, Mon 20 September to secure your spot.

Participation is limited, if oversubscribed a draw will determine the selection of successful participants.

Due to the highly-collaborative nature of the workshop and robust report-out at the conclusion, please only
register if you can commit to attending for the full 2 hours. In Person attendees only.
